Holiday Greetings,
We can not believe it is holiday season already!! At our urban home in Minnesota, lights are hung, garden is winterized, wood is split and the heat bulb is turned on in our chicken coop. I am just about to set up winter gardening in our basement under glowing lights for mix greens and some herbs so our family can enjoy home-grown fresh greens until the next spring.
This holiday season we will be celebrating both Japanese and Scandinavian tradition, Lutefisk and Gravlax for Christmas and Toshikoshi Soba and Osechi for New Years. If you feel like you need help cooking this holiday season, feel free to contact me and we are more than happy to work with you. You can also find us teaching cooking classes here in twin cities and next year at the Blu Skye Acres farm in Sant Croix Falls, WI.
It has been almost three weeks since the launch of Culinary Tour to Japan under our new business. We want to personally thank all of you who helped Tanpopo Studio get off the ground this fall. This is very exciting time for us as we are busy preparing for the 2018 tours and also begin to see the possibilities ahead of us. From here we are planning to add another focused, small group tour. And as a part of our new project, Tanpopo Studio, will collaborate with London Center for Book Arts to create an exciting new tour next year. Stay tuned as we will share more information during the coming months.

今年もいよいよ残りわずかとなってしまいましたが皆様いかがお過ごしでしょうか。
ミネソタでは感謝祭が終わり、早くも冬の訪れを感じられます。我が家は冬に向けて、落ち葉を集め、薪を割り、野菜畑を冬仕舞いしました。三羽の雌鶏たちも古い羽が抜け、冬に向け新しい羽が生え始めました。これからミネソタの大地に長く寒い冬の到来です。
今年の年末も家族で北欧と日本両方の年末年始のお祝いを予定しています。なお、今年に引き続きセントポール市で、更に来年は隣州のウイスコンシン州で料理教室を開催しておりますので、お時間が有りましたらぜひお立ち寄りください。https://www.tanpopojourneys.com/classes/
早いもので、たんぽぽスタジオの立ち上げからすでに三週間過ぎました。皆様の温かいお力添えにより無事立ち上げを終えることができました。ありがとうございました。
来年は、ロンドンにあるLondon Center for Book Artsとコラボを考えています。また近い将来皆様に新しいプロジェクトを紹介できればうれしいです。
