Next spring, you are invited to join for a rare journey opportunity exploring the roots of sashiko and boro and offering you a chance to partake in textile art. This small-group tour is centered on traditional sashiko’s cultural significance to the Tohoku and Hokuriku regions, learning to recognize regional differences in sashiko and also focusing on local efforts to preserve native arts and crafts.
